Premieres Monday, Feb. 15 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME®
NEW YORK (Feb. 12, 2010) — The critically acclaimed reality series from SHOWTIME Sports®—FIGHT CAMP 360°: Inside The Super Six World Boxing Classic—returns to SHOWTIME with Episode 3, premiering Monday, Feb. 15, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
The 30-minute episode recaps all three Group Stage 1 bouts with unique angles, never-before-seen fight footage and ringside seats next to the promoters, fighter’s families and cornermen. Episode 3 follows each fighter after their respective match, as they recede from the spotlight in victory and defeat to prepare for the next Group Stage.
Episode 3 details Arthur Abraham’s devastating and dramatic knockout of Jermain Taylor with just six seconds left in the fight and Taylor’s condition immediately following.
The Carl Froch-Andre Dirrell segment delves into the Dirrell camp’s discouragement that they don’t feel they can ever win a fight overseas and if they ever come back, “We’ll have to get the knockout.”
The closing scene shows Froch coming out of the locker room telling his girlfriend he has just failed his drug test and will be stripped of his title. “They found Kryptonite in my urine,” he said before breaking into a huge smile.
Dirrell is also heavily featured in the Andre Ward-Mikkel Kessler segment as he visits Ward to offer his encouragement just hours before the fight. “You brought America back on top last time with your gold medal,” Dirrell said. “You’re going to bring America back again this time with the title.”
“Nobody’s giving us a chance to win,” Ward tells Dirrell. “Nobody.”
Following some sensational fight highlights, Ward’s son is seen with his dad’s new belt.
Even Kessler could crack a smile the day after his fight. At one point he can’t locate his passport. “He (Ward) took my belt and my passport,” he said.
