Goossen Tutor Promotions, rebounded from his sole loss last year against former WBO/NABO lightweight champion Martin Honorio, with two solid wins just one month apart from each other earlier this year. Stated Molina, “I am excited to get back on television and I will make sure I stay there. You learn a lot more in defeat then in victory regardless of the circumstances and it is the worse feeling in the world. I will do everything needed to do in the ring so I never feel like that again.”
“Lundy talks a lot and as far as I’m concerned he can keep it up. As a matter of fact, I like it. It’s been very amusing. I’m going to do my talking in the ring and he’ll know what I mean when I walk away with the belt. I have respect for him and what he has accomplished but come fight time nothing will stop me. I am going to do what I have to do to be victorious.”

Now, Golden Boy Promotions is upping the ante, making the event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. the card of the year as the big guns of the boxing world will roll into Las Vegas to fight on one of boxing’s biggest televised cards. The bouts scheduled for Saturday, July 31 will be produced and distributed live on HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Six fighters with combined records that add up to 153 wins, 12 losses, 3 draws and 108 knockouts have won nine world titles between them. Among them is an Olympic Gold Medalist, an Olympic Silver Medalist and on July 31, they all fight on the same pay-per-view telecast.

Fedor, a six-footer, had Werdum in trouble in the opening moments after dropping him with a right uppercut that was followed with several more punches. But from his back, Werdum, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and member of Brazil’s vaunted Chute Boxe fight squad, got Fedor into a combination triangle- and arm-choke. Within seconds, the fight was over. The famed Fedor had tapped out.

ST. LOUIS—A typical boxing press conference today at Scottrade Center in St. Louis suddenly turned raucous after undefeated unified 140-pound world champion Devon Alexander’s trainer told former WBA junior welterweight champion Andriy Kotelnik, a Ukrainian making his first visit to America, “That’s a long way to come for an ass whuppin.’
Alexander (20-0, 13 KOs), from St. Louis, will put his WBC and IBF crowns on the line against Kotelnik (31-3-1, 13 KOs) in an Aug. 7 world championship doubleheader that will also feature undefeated IBF light heavyweight champion Tavoris “Thunder” Cloud (20-0, 18 KOs), from Tallahassee, Fla., taking on former IBF world champion Glen Johnson, from Jamaica now fighting out of Miami.
Kotelnik did not take kindly to Cunningham’s comments on behalf of Alexander.
“They say it’s a long way to come for an ass kicking, but I have a question for Devon Alexander after his people have made all these boasts,” Kotelnik said. “Will Devon come back and fight me in a rematch in the Ukraine after I kick his ass?
