DAN ‘THE OUTLAW’ HARDY AND CHRIS ‘LIGHTS OUT’ LYTLE HEADLINE THE NEXT ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (UFC) EVENT ON AUGUST 14 LIVE ON VERSUS

VERSUS One-Hour Pre-Fight Show at 8 p.m. ET Breaks Down the Main Event – Post Show Features Fighter Interviews, Highlights and Analysis

NEW YORK —VERSUS will air its third UFC® event of the year on Sunday, August 14, with a main event featuring British striking sensation Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy facing off against exciting finisher Chris “Lights Out” Lytle. The highly anticipated welterweight match originates from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee and will air live on VERSUS at 9 p.m. ET.

VERSUS will once again offer extended coverage of the event with two live shows, a 60-minute pre-fight show and 30-minute wrap-up show. Hosted by Craig Hummer, the pre-and post shows will feature MMA writer and UFC “Insider” Ariel Helwani as well as UFC fighter Stephan Bonnar, who was scheduled to compete on the fight card, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Tina Dixon will serve as a reporter for the shows, conducting Octagon®-side reports and interviews with the competitors. Scheduled to appear during the pre-fight coverage are UFC President Dana White, as well as undefeated UFC star and former NFL player Matt Mitrione. The post-fight coverage with feature fighter interviews, highlights, analysis and a guest appearance by UFC fighter Clay Guida.

The main event between Dan Hardy (23-9) and Chris Lytle (40-18-4) has the potential to be the most exciting fight of the year. Hardy (23-9) is a lethal striker who owns wins over the likes of Mike Swick, Marcus Davis and Rory Markham. This Sunday, the pride of Nottingham, England collides with Lytle, a gritty veteran who boasts victories over the likes of Matt Serra, Matt Brown and Brian Foster.

In the night’s co-main event, lightweight contender Jim Miller (20-2) looks for his eighth straight win against former WEC lightweight champion Ben Henderson (13-2). The winner is expected to emerge as a title contender in the UFC’s talented 155-pound division. Additionally, two of the most exciting lightweight fighters in MMA, Charles Oliveira (14-1, 1 NC) and Donald Cerrone, (15-3, 1 NC) will lock horns, while welterweights Amir Sadollah (6-2) and Duane Ludwig (28-11) are set to meet in a volatile welterweight bout.
