“Undefeated Champions” PPV May 29 in Puerto Rico
HOBOKEN, N.J. (May 11, 2010) – Boricua star Wilfredo “WV2” Vazquez, Jr. makes his first WBO Junior Featherweight title defense May 29 against unbeaten, No. 1 contender Zsolt “Mr. Lefthook” Bedak, headlining the “Undefeated Champions” pay per view event in the 12-round main event, airing live in the United States from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
“Undefeated Champions,” presented by PR Best Boxing in association with All Star Boxing, features three world title bouts. It is being distributed in the United States by Integrated Sports Media for live viewing at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, and DISH Network, for a suggested retail price of only $34.95.
The Ring’s No. 9 rated Vazquez (18-0-1, 15 KOs), the first Puerto Rican world champion who is also the son of former world champion, doesn’t feel like others that defending a championship belt is tougher than winning a title for the first time. The 25-year-old Vazquez captured the WBO crown this past February, stopping Marvin Sonsona in the fourth round.

Los Angeles, CA (March 31, 2010) - As Dorothy Gale, the lead character in “The Wizard of Oz,” proclaimed, “There’s No Place Like Home.“ Perhaps with that in mind, boxing promoter Dan Goossen revealed in a recent media conference call that Goossen Tutor Promotions will be aggressively promoting Central Valley fighters for its 2010 shows at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, CA.
“This year, our focus for the Tachi fans will be homegrown talent, fighting for worldwide recognition and eventually world championships,” Goossen pointed out. “With the growth of certain local fighters, we will look to promote their next level fights right here at Tachi’s outdoor arena to accommodate the added attendance and attention.” Read More… QUEZADA, DALLAS, JR. Six Questions with Junior Welterweight John Molina, Jr., Who Looks to Rebound From His First Loss as a Pro On Friday Night at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, CA
Los Angeles, CA (March 3, 2010) – Lightweight prospect John Molina, Jr., fighting for the first time since sustaining his first loss as a professional, will be in action Friday night at the same venue where he lost in late November. Molina, Jr., who lost by decision to Martin Honorio at the Pechanga Resort & Casino, will be featured on the Honorio-Wilton Hilario undercard at the same Temecula, CA venue.
We go “Inside the Mind” of John Molina, Jr. in the final, prefight days, with “Six Questions” for the popular and talented Covina, CA boxer.
QUESTION #1: You recently experienced your first loss as a professional. How difficult was that for you?
MOLINA, JR.: “On the competitive side of me it was more difficult than you want to believe and a tough pill to swallow. But the brain side of me knows the fact that I was 30 percent, if that, because I was sick with the flu. I drank a half bottle of Dayquil right before I went down to my dressing room. So, given the circumstances and how I did, now that I look back on it, Martin Honorio fought 100% healthy while I was about 30%. But it was a good experience because I showed I was tough.”
