VERSUS GIVES VIEWERS ANOTHER CHANCE TO WATCH BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE FIGHT BETWEEN DOMINICK CRUZ AND JOSEPH BENAVIDEZ

NEW YORK, N.Y. – VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will re-air the explosive bantamweight championship battle between Dominick Cruz and Joseph Benavidez on Thursday, August 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

The fight, which aired live on VERSUS on Wednesday, August 18, featured five full rounds of intense action in the cage in which Cruz defended his title for the first time against tough challenger Benavidez. Each fighter displayed excellent technique as well as amazing tenacity during the bout leaving the judges to decide who would be victorious.

In addition to the main event, the undercard featured several other top fights, including lightweights Anthony “Showtime” Pettis and Shane Roller, Chad Mendes and Cub Swanson in a featherweight match, Scott Jorgensen vs. Brad Pickett in bantamweight action and Bart Palaszewski and Zack Micklewright in a lightweight brawl.
