LA NENA DE ARGENTINA LEFT THE AUDIENCE  BREATHLESS ON HER FIRST NIGHT AT RIVER STADIUM

Maria Becerra continues to make history: In front of 70,000 she became the first Argentine female artist to have her own show at the Mås Monumental Stadium.

Buenos Aires – Being called La Nena De Argentina is an honor and a very great responsibility that Maria Becerra takes absolutely seriously, and last night, it became clearer than ever why she does it. With an extraordinary presentation – the first of two completely sold out shows– she became the first female singer in the country to do her individual show at the legendary River Plate stadium. With a complete setlist that went through all her stages – her singles, her albums Animal (2021) and LA NENA DE ARGENTINA (2022), her numerous collaborations and new materials – Maria burned this show into the hearts of all assistants.

With all eyes on the stage, a clamor ran through Núñez as every throat joined hers in giving her the long-awaited welcome. After an intro by her musicians and dancers, the unmistakable silhouette of Maria Becerra appeared from below the stage. The night began with the classic llori-perreo, accompanied by a display of LED screens, lights and a first-class display.

The show was divided into blocks: reggaeton, urban, bachata and an acoustic set that dazzled her fans. If there is something that marked her performance tonight, it was the fact that it demonstrated the versatility that Maria has for different musical genres, her incredible stage presence and her unique connection with the audience. Visibly moved, Maria took a few moments to look at the thousands and thousands of fans, read their signs and interacted with them, promising to hug two girls after the show.

Costume changes, one hit following the other, a video that covered her story from when she was little when she dreamed of singing, through her time as a YouTuber and the anecdotes behind each song made this concert an unforgettable show.

With the lights off and a stadium full of excited faces preparing to return home, with even more fans than they thought possible, it was clear that at only 24 years old, Maria Becerra is at the top of the scene: a star that was lit in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, and that now shines brightly throughout the world, as “LA NENA DE ARGENTINA” says: “the girl from Argentina went international.”
