Jose is the current WEC Featherweight Champion. Jose has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu but prefers to brawl and packs a mighty punch. Jose is scheduled to fight Manvel Gamburyan on September 30, 2010 for WEC Featherweight Championship.
