HEAT LATIN MUSIC AWARDS CELEBRATE THEIR 10TH ANIVERSARY WITH A SPECIAL ON BILLBOARD

Miami, FL. (April 10, 2024). The HEAT LATIN MUSIC AWARDS, the hottest party in Latin music, and the only awards show with the beach and the Caribbean Sea as a backdrop, have partnered with Billboard to celebrate their tenth anniversary in the April-May edition, where the Dominican Republic will also have a special role.

Founded by Diana Montes, who in 2023 was included in Billboard’s prestigious Latin Power Players list, these awards are the most-watched awards show in Latin America, becoming one of the most anticipated music events year after year.

In 2024, the HEAT LATIN MUSIC AWARDS will present 10 new categories: Producer of the Year; Music Video Director of the Year; Album of the Year; Best Viral Song; Composer of the Year; Best Song for Video Games, Series, Movies; Best Tropical Artist (vallenato, cumbia, merengue, bachata); Best Salsa Artist, Fan Club of the Year, and Best Religious Song. The highly anticipated nominations for the HEAT AWARDS will take place in the Dominican Republic, via streaming on May 9, where fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite talents.

The HEAT LATIN MUSIC AWARDS recognize and support figures in the music industry, supporting both emerging talents and the most recognized Latin music artists in the world. Throughout their 10 years of existence, they have boosted the careers of global superstars such as J Balvin, Karol G, El Alfa, Greeicy, Mike Bahía, Anuel AA, and Sebastián Yatra, among many others.

The 2023 edition was tremendously successful, breaking audience records and featuring performances from some of the biggest names in music, such as Jay Wheeler, El Alfa, Anuel AA, Mau y Ricky, Grupo Niche, Paola Jara, and Mike Bahía. The show was watched by thousands of viewers in the United States through the LosHeat.TV platform, representing 35% of the total program audience, while the LosHeat.TV app reached #1 position in the iOS stores in the entertainment and general applications categories in the Dominican Republic.

In Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Honduras, and Nicaragua, among other countries, the native platform of the HEAT AWARDS ranked among the top 10 entertainment platforms, becoming one of the most demanded apps among Latin music followers. Thanks to this exciting partnership with the April-May edition of Billboard, 2024 promises to be one like no other for the HEAT LATIN MUSIC AWARDS and will undoubtedly take the platform to incredible heights.
