LAS VEGAS – Most sports fans dream of having the opportunity to experience a behind the scenes look into their favorite athletes’ lives and careers. Starting Tuesday, April 5, fight fans will have a chance to do just that as Golden Boy Promotions will bring fans closer to the action than ever before with Live Web Streaming of featured “Action Heroes” fighters’ classic past fights online at ringtv.com/fightnight. The streams, which are presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Yahoo!, UStream, RingTV.com and Craveonline, will re-air classic bouts along with live commentary by Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, Michael Katsidis “The Great” and Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi while fans have the chance to ask the fighters questions about the fight live.
“This is one of my favorite new projects and I wish technology like this was available back when I was a kid,” said Oscar de la Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions. “Can you imagine hearing Muhammad Ali or Roberto Duran talk about their greatest fights while you watched with them during a fight week? I’m very excited about the ‘Classics’ Live Web Stream and giving fans the opportunity to watch a fight while hearing commentary from their favorite fighters as well as interacting with them.”
Each live broadcast will be hosted by RingTV’s Doug Fischer as he conducts live, online video chats with “Action Heroes” fighters Guerrero, Katsidis and Malignaggi. During the broadcasts, Fischer will present questions submitted by fans through Twitter using the hashtag #GBstream on the live feed at ringtv.com/fightnight giving them the once in a life time opportunity to chat live with some of boxing’s top stars.
