HEAVYWEIGHT BOWIE TUPOU BACK ON TRACK!

HEAVYWEIGHT BOWIE TUPOU BACK ON TRACK!

Los Angeles  – This past Saturday  at The Home Depot Center in Carson, heavyweight Bowie Tupou improved his record to 20 wins, with 16 of those victories by knockout, with only one loss, by stopping Manuel Quezada (29-7, 18 KOs) with a 7th round knockout on the undercard of SHOWTIME’s Super Six World Boxing Classic semi-final Tournament bout which featured Andre Ward retaining his WBA Super Middleweight title over former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham and advancing to the finals in the Tournament.

After experiencing his only loss nearly two years ago, Tupou feels he has recovered from his blemished record with three consecutive wins, along with absorbing some big shots from Quezada and coming back aggressively.

“I trained hard for this fight because I want everyone to know that I am serious about my career and I am hungry to show people I will become a legitimate world contender.  I’m still young and hungry and willing to do what it takes to win,” Tupou said.
