Undefeated Super Middleweight Angel Chavez Looks to Remain Undefeated in First 8-Round Bout

LAS VEGAS, NV (April 4, 2024) – Rising super middleweight Angel Chavez (9-0, 7 KOs), hailing from Salinas, CA, and currently honing his skills under the guidance of respected boxing coach Bob Santos in Las Vegas, is poised for his most significant challenge yet as he prepares to step into the ring tomorrow night for his first 8-round bout.

Chavez’s upcoming bout on April 5, 2024, will see him face off against Khainell Wheeler (7-4, 6 KOs) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in what promises to be a thrilling showdown at the Wind Creek Events Center in Wheeler’s hometown, on event promoted by King’s Promotions

Despite the prospect of fighting in enemy territory, Chavez remains undaunted, stating, “I don’t mind going into Wheeler’s backyard. I’m ready to put on a show for the fans, and I’m confident in my abilities to come out victorious. I’m a throwback fighter who will fight anyone, anywhere. I’m looking forward to giving this man and “L” in front of his people, and I say that respectfully.”

Coach Bob Santos, renowned for his ability to nurture boxing talents, expressed his belief in Chavez’s potential, envisioning him as the next big star in the super middleweight division.

“Angle Chavez has all the makings of a future champion,” Santos remarked. “He has a big frame for a Mexican, which is rare in this sport, and his dedication, skill set, and determination set him apart. He has the potential to follow in the footsteps of current greats like David Benavidez and David Morrell Jr.

Chavez’s journey to stardom continues to gain momentum, with each bout serving as a steppingstone towards his ultimate goal of becoming a world champion. With the guidance of Coach Santos, and the support from his promoter Amaury Piedra, of Boxlab Promotions, Chavez is prepared to make a significant impact in the super middleweight division.
