Training Camp Notes: Undefeated Bantamweight Contender Dominique Crowder Ready for NABA Title Clash Against Jayson Mama

KANSAS CITY, KS — Undefeated bantamweight contender Dominique Crowder (19-0, 11 KOs) is putting the finishing touches on training camp as he prepares for one of the most important fights of his professional career.

The Baltimore, Maryland native, currently ranked #12 by the IBF, will face experienced Filipino veteran, Jayson Mama (21-4-1, 10 KOs), of General Santos City, Philippines, for the vacant North American Boxing Association (NABA) Bantamweight Title.

The 8-round championship bout takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at BiYu Promotions’ “Heart of America Pro + Am Boxing Invitational” at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

Crowder-Mama will serve as the co-main event to the eight-round showdown between Nico Ali Walsh (12-2-1, 5 KOs) and undefeated Treavon Craycraft (9-0-1, 3 KOs).

The action will be broadcast live on CombatVisionTV, giving Crowder another opportunity to showcase his skills to boxing fans beyond the arena as he continues his pursuit of a world-title opportunity.

Crowder believes the work he has put in throughout camp has him ready for the biggest opportunity of his undefeated career.

“Camp has been really good,” said Crowder. “We’ve worked hard, got a lot of rounds in, and I feel sharp. At this level, you can’t just depend on one thing. You have to be able to box, make adjustments, and stay disciplined for the entire fight. I’m 19-0, but I’m still hungry. I know I have a lot more to prove, and I’m ready to show that on October 10.”

Crowder respects Mama’s experience but welcomes the challenge of facing an opponent who will test him.

“Mama is a good, experienced fighter,” he continued. “He’s coming from the Philippines to win, so I know he’ll be ready. If I say I belong with the best bantamweights in the world, then I have to prove it against good fighters. I’m expecting him to push me, and I’m ready for whatever he brings.”

For Crowder, winning his first NABA championship would represent another important step toward his ultimate goal of fighting for a world title.

“Winning the NABA title would mean a lot to me,” he added. “I’ve worked hard to get to this position, and now I have to take advantage of it. I’m already ranked by the IBF, and now I have an opportunity to win another title and keep moving forward. That’s motivation for me. I want to leave Kansas City 20-0 with that belt around my waist, but I know I have to go earn it first.”

With his IBF ranking continuing to put him closer to bigger opportunities, Crowder wants to use the CombatVisionTV platform to show fans and the boxing world that he belongs among the top bantamweights.

“This is a big opportunity for me,” Crowder concluded. “A win gets me the NABA title and moves me closer to the bigger fights I want. Fighting on CombatVisionTV gives more people a chance to see me live, so I want to put on a great performance and show everyone I’m ready for the next level.”
